Magna Carta

The Magna Carta was a document forced on the King of England 
by the feudal barons in an attempt to limit the King's Powers 
and to protect their privileges.

In 1215, Pope Innocent III declared the Magna Carta invalid.

Many English Barons did not accept this. 
For them the Magna Carta remained valid.
