France - Style - Empire

During the reign of Napoleon I a new style in Architecture, Furniture and Decorative
Arts really became famous: Empire Style.

Typical for the Empire Style are patterns from the
Egyptian and Roman Culture.

A few years ago, I had the chance to visit the amazing museum the
Louvre in Paris (France).
There I saw a state apartment of Napoleon.

A lot of places in Europe and even around the world have furnitures in Empire Style:

- Palace of Versailles near Paris (France);
- Palace of Laeken near Brussels (Belgium);
- Palace at the Dam in Amsterdam (The Netherlands);
- White House in Washington (United States of America).

- Arc de Triomphe;

I want to discover new & old styles.
