Royals and the climate
A lot of royals are interested in the climate case. Some of them take the lead to do something
to improve the climate.

Belgium
Princess Astrid of Belgium, daughter of King Albert II of Belgium has taken up the climate change because of its relevance to her main area of interest : the spread of malaria.
Crown Princess Elisabeth of Belgium has given her name to a Belgian scientific research station on Antarctica. This is called Princess Elisabeth Antarctica.

Princess Esmeralda of Belgium, daughter of King Leopold III and Lilian Baels is going to write a book about the climate (2021).
Denmark, Sweden, Norway
Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark (now King), Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway travelled to Greenland together to witness themselves the effects of climate change. They visited a research centre.
Malaysia
Several sultans in Malaysia are aware of the Climate Change. Inter alia the Sultan of Perak.

Monaco
Prince Albert I of Monaco (1848-1922) devoted much of his life to the study of the sea and the oceans. He founded the Institut Oceanographic in Monaco in 1906. The current Head of State of Monaco, Prince Albert II of Monaco spent several weeks touring Antarctic research stations with his foundation he set up in 2006 to fund environmental projects. Prince Albert II of Monaco became involved in the climate case due to its ancestor and with the influence of his mother Princess Grace, who gave him a nature poster when he was a child.
Sweden
King Carl Gustaf of Sweden also is aware of the Climate Change. In his Palace he sorts out the recyclables in his private kitchen and he has a pellet-fired boiler at Drottningholm Palace. He spoke out for several times about the climate.
The Netherlands
King Willem-Alexander, as a Crown Prince of The Netherlands, was interested in the climate case and water management issues. He became a member of several international committees that work to secure clean water and sanitation in developing.
Prince Bernhard of The Netherlands the grandfather of King Willem-Alexander was a member and founder of the World Wildlife Found (WWF).

United Arab Emirates
Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber was named special envoy of the climate change of the United Arab Emirates. He also is a prominent advocate of alternative energy and sustainable development.
United Kingdom
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was the president of the World Wildlife Fund.
Charles, Prince of Wales (now King Charles), led an important role as a champion of environmental causes. His concern for green issues is known - he has spoken out for many years. He also

Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis met Sir David Attenborough to talk about the animals and the climate. He is an advocate for bio diversity.
