On October 31st. 1587, the Leiden University Library became operational in the vault of the current Academy building @ Rapenburg.

- 60,000 Oriental and Western manuscripts;

The de Liedekerke family has it all: a long and interesting history and close ties to the rules of their country.  Let's take a closer look!  History It was in 1301 that the history of the family de Liedekerke started.
