On December 26th. 1737, Prince Frederick Josias of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld was
born in Ehrenburg Palace in Coburg (Germany).

His parents were Duke Francis Josias of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld and
Anne-Sophie, Princess of Schwartzburg-Rudolstadt. 

He became a military general in Austrian Service.
Prince Josisias of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld was the great-uncle of
King Leopold I of Belgium.

The Prince retired in Coburg where he died later in 1815.
