Tapestry Detail Duke of York

During the procession the people of Brussels showed its joy for the royals. There were lots of Belgian flags and white handkerchiefs. The procession stopped at the parliament of Belgium in Brussels.
There King Albert gave loud and clear a speech.

"Gentlemen, I bring you the greetings of the army. We come from the Ijzer through our liberated towns and cities. I have come to report to you from my actions...."

In  the afternoon there was a Te Deum in the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels.

After the Te Deum there was a reception in the Town Hall on the Grand Place in Brussels. This place was too small for all the people  who came to celebrate the liberation of the city and the country.

The Huge Tapestry of the Joyous Entry

From this Joyous Entry, a beautiful, big tapestry was made. From 23 November 2018 till 26 October 2019 there was a special exhibition of this amazing tapestry. For taking these pictures, I made a visit to the Belgian Senate in Brussels and it was really worth to see such an extraordinary piece of royal
history
