Otto I of Bavaria was a member of the House of Wittelsbach.

He was the youngest son of Maximilian II of Bavaria and Marie of Prussia.
Otto I liked his elder brother Ludwig II very much. They did a lot of things together.

In 1872, he became mentally ill. Since then he lived on his own.
Otto I kept his title as King till his death, although Ludwig III
already was crowned as King.

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg, Margarita was born at the Royal Palace in Athens on 18 April 1905.  Family Through her mother, Margarita was the eldest great-great grandchild of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom .
