All About Royal Families

Gardening has numerous advantages, spanning physical, mental, and environmental benefits.  I must admit, I adore gardening as much as visiting a wonderful royal garden. After the visit of Palazzo Pitti in June 2024, I visited the Boboli Gardens, which are located directly behind the Palazzo Pitti, the main residence of the de' Medici Family.  The Boboli Gardens are known for its strict and formal Italian style. As it was a very hot day in Florence, the shadow brought some refreshment but not a lot. However the Boboli Gardens really are a wonderful royal destination with again lots of royal history. Some royal history The Boboli Gardens were laid out for Eleonora di Toledo, the wife of Cosimo I de' Medici.The name may be a corruption of "Bogoli"or "Borgoli", possibly the name of a family who had previously owned the land. Buckingham Palace is without no doubt one of the most iconic buildings of London and the symbol of the British monarchy.  This book is not about the palace itself or the events that happened there but it's, what me interested the most: its gardens.  Normally it's hidden from sight as it is The Queen's private Londen garden. However the garden also fulfils many roles. Every summer it welcomes thousands of guests for the famous Garden Parties.  Buckinham Palace - A Royal Garden is a wonderful book from the Royal Collection  Trust and written by Claire Masset.  The book The book features wonderful pictures and fatastic ideas to implement at your garden or balcony at home.  The chapters are devided in the seasons of the year: spring, summer, autumn and  of course winter with lots of fantastic hints. It also tells about the history of Buckingham Palace: A Royal Garden, when  King George III and Queen Charlotte turned parts of the garden to pasture....

Some royals do have a fantastic garden around their estates. These always  give fantastic ideas for your own garden or balcony ....  So let's take a closer look to Highgrove, the home of Charles, Prince of Wales. It is no secret at all that Highgrove has a wonderful garden too.  Highgrove is the family residence of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. It lies southwest of Tetbury in Gloucestershire, England. Near Tetbury, in the County of Gloucestershire in South West England, Gatcombe Park, the country residence of Anne, Princess Royal is located between the villages of Minchinhampton and Avening.  History Highgrove  House was built in 1796 to 1798 by John Paul Paul and believed to have designed by architect Anthony Keck.  In 1864 the house was sold to a barrister, William Yatman.
