The Czetwertyński family

By royal decree of King Albert II of Belgium (2007), two members (both sons of Prince Michel Felix Swiatopelk-Czetwertynski) were recognised in the Belgian nobility with the rank of Prince, for them and their male-line descendants. 💡 Unlike his sons Prince Michel Felix Swiatopelk-Czetwertynski was not recognized in the Belgian nobility because he wasn't born in Belgium.  They are members of one of the 11 Princely Families in Belgium.  With this interesting episode, I was keen to know more about the history of this rather unknown  Princely family. History The first documented member of the family is Oleksander Chetvertynsky, who is mentioned in 1388. The family was accepted into the princely houses of Poland and Lithuania in 1569 and their Russian title of prince was confirmed in 1843. In 1492, Prince Fedir Mykhailovych Chetvertynsky was the Lithuanian-Ruthenian ambassador to Wallachia. Over time, the family were Polonized and Catholicized, but some members remained adherent to the

Prince William was born at St Mary's Hospital, London on 21 June 1982 as the first child of Charles, Prince of Wales (heir apparent to Queen Elizabeth II) and Diana, Princess of Wales. His name His names, William Arthur Philip Louis, were announced by Buckingham Palace on 28 June. Baptize He was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Robert Runcie, in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace on 4 August, the 82nd birthday of his paternal great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.  William had six godparents: * former King Constantine II of Greece (his paternal second cousin once removed); * Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Mrs Ogilvy (his paternal first cousin twice removed); * the Duchess of Westminster; * Lady Susan Hussey (a confidant of The Queen) ; * Lord Romsey (his paternal second cousin once removed); and Sir Laurens van der Post. Last week I read the excellent book: Harry Conversations with the Prince, written by Angela Levin. The book was edited in 2018 by John Blake Publishing Ltd. London and the imprint was from Kings Road Publishing Ltd. The translation in Dutch was made in 2018 by Just Publishers - Hans van Maar. Harry Conversations with the Prince was well written in 14 clear chapters. Whether you like Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex or not, the conversations written by Angela Levin is a great opportunity to understand the Pr
