Her parents were Henry I of England and Matilda of Scotland.

In 1114 Matilda of England married Holy Roman Emperor Henry V in Mainz
(Germany). Henry died in 1125.

In 1128, Matilda married Geoffrey V, Count of Anjou.

Although the marriage was bad, the couple had 3 children:

Henry II of England;
Geoffrey, Count of Nantes;
William X, Count of Poitou.

Matilda of England died on September 10th. 1167 in Rouen (France).
