Charles Francis (in German: Karl Franz) was born on June 3rd. 1540
in Vienna (Austria).

His parents were Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor and
Anna of Bohemia and Hungary.

There were negotiations for a marriage between Charles II, Archduke of Austria
and Eizabeth I of England.
This negotiations came not to a good end because of inter alia
the difference in religion.

On August 26th. 1571 he married Maria Anna of Bavaria in Vienna.
They had 15 children.

On July 10th. 1590 Charles II, Archduke of Austria died in Graz.
He is buried in Seckau.

On 14 May 2022 Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan passed away at the age of 73. Family Khalifa was born on 7 September 1948 at Qasr Al-Muwaiji, Al Ain, in Abu Dhabi (then part of the Trucial States), the eldest son of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Hassa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Education   He was a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Crown Prince When his father, Zayed, became Emir of Abu Dhabi in 1966, Khalifa was appointed the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi and Head of the Courts Department in Al Ain.
