Treetuesday - Hofgarten - Munich - Germany
My treetuesday picture is taken in the Hofgarten (Court garden)
in Munich (Germany).
The Hofgarten is located in the center of Munich between the Residenz and
the Englisher Garten.
The Hofgarten was built between 1613 and 1619 by
Maximilian I, Elector of Bavaria as an Italian Renaissance garden.
At the picture you can see a pavilion, which was made in honor of
goddess Diana.
During World War II the garden was destroyed but luckily it was
rebuilt afterwards.
Nowadays this park is not only for available for royals but also for
commoners.
It is a very popular place to relax and one of the main tourists attractions in
Munich.
