Jacques Boël married Sybille Baroness de Selys Longchamps in 1962,
but divorced her in 1978. Despite his discreet career, he was known to the
general public as the legal father of Delphine Boël, until the latter could prove
that she was the daughter of King Albert II of Belgium.

The basis of the Boël's family fortune was steel however they were
investing in other companies, such as the distribution group Colruyt
and digital companies such as Zalando and Amazon.
That family fortune is not small, by the way. Currently, the family has
a wealth of almost 3 billion euros, it is estimated. The family is therefore
in tenth place in the list of richest Belgians.
Furthermore, not much is known about Jacques Boël, because he was very
discreet. He was an art lover, in any case, and he loved hunting and wine.
