Coronation day is finally there!

On 6 May 2023, a historic event took place: the coronation of
King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

After the service in Westminster Abbey there was a lovely procession to 
Buckingham Palace.

At Buckingham Palace we got a view of the gardens and all the regiments bringing
a salute to their Majesties. 

Later King Charles III and Queen Camilla appeared on the balcony of Buckingham 
Palace, just as the rest of the working royals and the fly past took place. 



It really was a very well organized event and it felt if we all were a part of living
history.

I watched it on TV as well. Did you see the flypast well about 15 min after they flew past out house on their way back to base

A great post, Kathleen. I didn’t see it, but it seems to have been a moving event, what interests me is that Queen Camilla’s crown looks bigger than King Charles’!

On 14 May 2022 Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan passed away at the age of 73. Family Khalifa was born on 7 September 1948 at Qasr Al-Muwaiji, Al Ain, in Abu Dhabi (then part of the Trucial States), the eldest son of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Hassa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Education   He was a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Crown Prince When his father, Zayed, became Emir of Abu Dhabi in 1966, Khalifa was appointed the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi and Head of the Courts Department in Al Ain. Zayed was the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region before he became the Emir of Abu Dhabi. A few months later the position was handed to Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
