April 2nd: UK - The King and Queen will attend the Royal Maundy Service at St Asaph Cathedral in St Asaph, north Wales

April 5th: Easter - Don't forget to write the Easter Cards
- UK : King Charles III, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family will attend the Easter Service.
- DK: King Frederik, Queen Mary and other members of the royal family will attend the Easter Service at Frederik's Church in Copenhagen.

April 13th - April 15th.: NL-USA - King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will visit the United States of America. They will travel to Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. and Florida 

April 16th: NL - King Willem-Alexander will meet President Zelensky in Middelburg (The Netherlands). 

April 16th - April 17th: NL - The Princess of Orange will visit Amsterdam during these two days. 

April 18th- DK : Confirmation of Prince Vincent of Princess Josephine of Denmark. This will take place at at Fredensborg Castle Church in attendance of Queen Margrethe of Denmark 

April 21st: BE - Queen Mathilde will present the Queen Mathilde Prize at the Royal Palace of Brussels. 

April 21st: UK - 

The King and Queen, with members of the Royal Family, will host a reception in the Marble Hall at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II on 21 April, the 100th anniversary of Her late Majesty's birth. 

The Princess Royal will officially open The Queen Elizabeth II Garden in The Regent’s Park, London NW1, on 21 April, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her late Majesty.

April 23rd: DK - King Frederik X will visit the Exhibition in Osaka in Japan. 

April 23rd: NL - King Willem - Alexander and Queen Máxima will host a dinner for the Diplomatic Corps at the Royal Palace Amsterdam. TIARA ALERT! 

April 23rd: UK - The Prince of Wales will visit the headquarters of British Formula E team Jaguar TCS Racing in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.

April 25th: UK - The Princess Royal and The Princess of Wales will attend Anzac Day commemorations in London. Princess Anne will attend the Dawn Service at Wellington Arch, while Princess Catherine will lay a wreath on behalf of The King at the Cenotaph, followed by the parade and a Service of Commemoration at Westminster Abbey.

April 27th: NL - King's Day in Dokkum

April 27th - April 30th: UK/USA President Donald J. Trump announces Their Majesties, the King and Queen of the United Kingdom, will visit the United States for a Historic State Visit. 

April 27th: SW - 80th Birthday of Carl XVI Gustaf

Until June 14th 2026 a lovely exhibition is running in the Bozar in Brussels. It is called Bellezza e Bruttezza. This amazing exhibition was visited by Queen Mathilde of the Belgians on March 13th
2026.

Floralia Brussels from 3 April to 3 May 2026 at the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden. More on this blogpost. 

From 17 April to 10 May 2026 the royal greenhouses of Laken are open for public. More on this blogpost. 

Val Saint Lambert & Design takes place at the Design Museum Brussels from April 24th till October 25th 2026.

Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style (The King's Gallery, Buckingham Palace). This exhibition opens on April 10th and runs until October 18th 2026.

Rothko In Florence runs from March 14 until August 23, 2026 at Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi in Florence.

Alexander Calder: Rêver En Équilibre runs from April 15 until August 16, 2026 at Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

From April 21 - April 26th - The April Fair (Feria de Abril) takes place in Seville (Spain).

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg, Margarita was born at the Royal Palace in Athens on 18 April 1905.  Family Through her mother, Margarita was the eldest great-great grandchild of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom . Contrary to the custom of the time, her father attended her birth because her grandmother, Queen Olga, believed that "it is only justice that men see the suffering they cause to their wives, and from which they completely escape". She also was a great-great grandchild of Tsar Nicholas I of Russia ,trough her father. With their mother, Margarita and her sisters communicated in English, but they also used French, German, and Greek in the presence of their relatives and governesses. Since 1996, the royal family's head is: Franz, Duke of Bavaria. So far is the situation nowadays but this royal familie has a very nice history.
