Mohammed bin Salman Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia

On 31 August 1985, Mohammed bin Salman is born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Family Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud was born on 31 August 1985 to Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and his third spouse, Fahda bint Falah Al Hithlain. Fahda is a granddaughter of Rakan bin Hithlain, who was the  head of the Al Ajman tribe. Childhood and youth Bin Salman is the eldest among his mother's children and is the eighth child and seventh son of his father; his full siblings include Turki bin Salman, former chairman of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group and Khalid bin Salman. Prince Mohammed holds a bachelor's degree in law from King Saud University. A job After graduating from college, bin Salman spent several years in the private sector before becoming a personal aide to his father. He worked as a consultant for the Experts Commission, working for the Saudi Cabinet. Falconry is the hunting of wild animals in their natural habitat and stay by means of a trained bird or prey.  The practice of hunting with a conditioned falconry bird also is called "hawking".  Falconry is an art. It requires long hours, constant devotion, finesse, subtlety and skill.  The falconer must train a bird of prey to fly free, hunt for a human being and then  accept a return to captivity.  Falconry was just not a hobby. It was a lifestyle. Falconers must devote time to their birds each and every day. It must be no surprise that  falconry has a long and royal history just as horse riding. In many countries owning a falcon was and is a status symbol.  Some history of Falconry Medieval sports were chances for men to practice their mental and physical skills. The best estimate is that horses first were ridden about 3500 BC.  Equestrianism was introduced in the 1900 Summer Olympics as a Olympic sport with jumping events.  By 1912, all three Olympic disciplines still seen today were a part of the games. They are governed by the rules of the International Federation for  Equestrian Sports (FEI). * Dressage; * Show Jumping; * Eventing.  Royals and their love for horse riding Austria On 2 January 1743, Maria Theresa of Austria held a ladies carousel in the Winter Riding School of the Hofburg.  Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sisi)  (1837 - 1898)  was a keen equestrian. She loved horse riding. She rode every day for hours on end. She became the world's best-known female equestrian at her time.

Assassination of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia

On 25 March 1975, a terrible thing happened in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Then King Faisal was shot by his half-brother's son: Faisal bin Musaid. On that day, in the waiting room, Prince Faisal talked to Kuwaiti representatives, who also were waiting to meet King Faisal. At that instant Prince Faisal took out a gun and shot him. The first shot hit the King's chin and the second one went through his ear. A bodyguard hit Prince Faisal with a sword. King Faisal was quickly taken to the hospital, he was still alive. However he died shortly afterwards. On 1 August 1924 (some sources said he could be older), Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was born at Riyadh. Then it was a part of the Sultanate of Nejd. Now it is of course the capital of Saudi Arabia. Family His parents were Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and Fahda bint Asi Al Shuraim. She was one of King Abdulaziz 's spouses. They were all members of the House of Saud. Army Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was made commander of the Saudi National Gard (SANG) in 1963. In March 1975, he became Deputy Prime Minister, which secured his place as second in line of the throne. Duty On 13 June 1982, his half-brother Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud became the new King of of Saudi Arabia, due to the death of King Khalid.
