The Dukes of Seville were , of course named after Seville, the beautiful  Andalusian town in Spain. He was born in Seville, so that's why his uncle King Ferdinand VII granted him that  title. Seville's most green area in the middle of the town is without any doubt the Parque de María Luisa. Walking there really is very relaxing. The Parque de María Luisa is located along the Guadalquivir River in Seville, Spain. Besides the nice location, and its green lung it also has a very interesting royal history. Some royal history The Parque de María Luisa was located on the grounds of the Palace of San Telmo. There were donated to the city of Seville in 1893 by Infanta Luisa Fernanda, Duchess of Montpensier  to use as a public garden. Luisa Fernanda was through her father a granddaughter of King Charles IV of Spain and Maria Luisa of Parma, Queen Consort of Spain.  In 1911, architect Jean-Claude Nicholas Forestier rearranged the gardens in their present shapes. The Spain Square, as it is called in English is a place, located in the Maria Luisa Park in Seville Spain. It is a landmark and a pretty example of the Regionalism Architecture with mixed elements of the Renaissance Revival and the Moorish Revival. It also has a nice, royal history. The Real or Royal Alcázar is situated near the Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies in Seville, which is one of Andalusia's most splendid areas. In 1987 it was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site and in fact it is really worth to be on the list.
