When Henri Negresco was 15 years old, he moved to France. First he went

During World War I, the hotel was converted to a hospital. After the war

Jeanne Augier gave the order to renovate and to redecorate the hotel with
luxurious decorations and furnishings.

There is also a Royal link.
The Baccarat chandelier in the Negresco's Royal Lounge was once ordered by
Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. Due to the October Revolution the chandelier
was unable to take delivery.
