Sophie Amalie of Brunswick-Lüneburg was born on March 24th. 1628
in Herzberg Castle, Saxony (now Germany).

Her parents were George, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and 
Anne Eleonore of Hesse-Darmstadt.

In 1643, Sophie Amalie married Prince Frederick. 
In 1648 she became Queen consort of Denmark and Norway.

Sophie Amalie held a luxurious court life in spite of the bad financial
situation of the Kingdom. She enjoyed fashion, parties and theater. 
The waste of money wasn't well received by the public.

The palace Sophie Amalienborg in Denmark was built on her orders.
Now there is the Amalienborg palace located.

Sophie Amalie and her husband had 8 children. 2 of them died in infancy.

She was inter alia the mother of 
King Christian V of Denmark;
Ulrike Eleonora of Denmark who married King Charles XI of Sweden;
George who married Anne, Queen of Great Britain.

Sophie Amalie died on February 20th. 1685 in Copenhagen.

On 14 May 2022 Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan passed away at the age of 73. Family Khalifa was born on 7 September 1948 at Qasr Al-Muwaiji, Al Ain, in Abu Dhabi (then part of the Trucial States), the eldest son of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Hassa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Education   He was a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Crown Prince When his father, Zayed, became Emir of Abu Dhabi in 1966, Khalifa was appointed the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi and Head of the Courts Department in Al Ain.
