OTD April 5th. 1170 Isabella of Hainault Queen of France

Isabella of Hainault was born on April 5th. 1170 in Valenciennes.



Her parents were Baldwin V, Count of Hainault and 
Margaret I, Countess of Flanders.

In 1180, Isabella married Philip II of France. She was crowned
as Queen on May 28th. 1180 @ Saint Denis.

They had a son who became King Louis VIII of France.

Isabella died on March 15th.1190 after the birth of a twin.
The twins died 3 days later. 

Queen Isabella became 19 years old.

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg, Margarita was born at the Royal Palace in Athens on 18 April 1905.  Family Through her mother, Margarita was the eldest great-great grandchild of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom . Contrary to the custom of the time, her father attended her birth because her grandmother, Queen Olga, believed that "it is only justice that men see the suffering they cause to their wives, and from which they completely escape".
