OTD June 2nd 1632 Ernest Casimir I Count of Nassau-Dietz

Ernest Casimir I, Count of Nassau-Dietz was born on December 22nd. 1573
 in Dillenburg (now Germany).

His parents were John IV, Count of Nassau-Dillenburg and Countess Elisabeth of 
Leuchtenberg.

Ernest Casimir served under Maurice of Nassau, Prince of Orange. Later he became 
Stadtholder of Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe (now The Netherlands).

On June 2nd. 1632 Ernest Casimir I, Count of Nassau-Dietz, died @ 
the Siege of Roermond  by a bullet, while he was inspecting the trenches.
