Tree Tuesday Picture - Vondelpark Amsterdam in The Netherlands
This Tree Tuesday Picture gives a wonderful reflection of the grey, dreary
landscape of the moment (although the picture was taken some years ago).
The Vondelpark in Amsterdam (named after the famous Dutch writer
Joost van den Vondel) was opened in 1865.
Nowadays it is one of the famous landmarks of Amsterdam, located near
the Leidseplein and the Museumplein (in English: Museum Square).
Annually there are around 10 million visitors. The Vondelpark includes:
- an Open Air Theatre (during the months July and August),
- several horeca facilities,
- statues (see picture).
The Vondelpark also has a Royal Link. Every year with King's Day there
are games for children and a lot of other activities.
I visited the park during the winter months and then it was a nice and
relaxing place.
Now I'll end my post with an: enjoy your tuesday!
landscape of the moment (although the picture was taken some years ago).
