On January 7th. 1753 Countess Augusta Louise zu Stolberg-Stolberg
was born in Bramstedt, Duchy of Holstein, which is now a part of the
German state: Schleswig-Holstein.
Her brothers, Count Leopold and Count Christian were close friends of
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Countess Augusta Louise zu Stolberg-Stolberg lived in a pension for
young girls.
Between 1775 and 1776 she had a lively correspondence with Goethe,
although they never met each other in person.
In 1783 Augusta Louise moved to Copenhagen and later she married the
Danish Minister of State Andreas Peter Bernstorff.
She died on May 30th. 1835 in Kiel.
