born on June 13th. 1820 at Soestdijk Palace in Baarn.
Throughout his life, his title was:
'His Royal Highness Prince Henry of The Netherlands,
Prince of Orange-Nassau'.
Parents
His parents were King William II of The Netherlands and
Anna Pavlovna of Russia
Youth
His siblings were:
- the later King William III of the Netherlands
- Prince Alexander
- Prince Ernest Casimir
- Princess Sophie
He was the only member of the Royal Family of the
House of Orange-Nassau, who visited Indonesia.
Love & Marriage
On May 9th. 1853 Prince Henry married Amalia of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach.
She died on May 1st. 1872.
On August 24th. 1878 Prince Henry married Princess Marie of Prussia.
Both marriages were childless.
Duty
In 1850, Prince Henry became governor of Luxembourg. There he lived
at the Walferdange Castle.
Death
Prince Henry died on January 13th. 1879 in Luxembourg.
