On November 2nd. 1083 Matilda of Flanders died.

Matilda of Flanders was the daughter of Baldwin V, Count of Flanders and
Adèle of France (daughter of Robert II of France).
She married William the Conqueror. William the Conqueror was King of England.
Matilda didn't want to marry him first. She refused his hand. But after a delay the
two married.

They had nine children, including two Kings: William II and Henry II.
After her death, Matilda was buried in the 'Abbaye aux Dames' in Cannes (France).
