Royal Calendar of 7 February

On 7 February there were lots of interesting royal events around the
world.

On 7 February 1901, the Colden Coach was first used on the royal
wedding of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands and Prince
Henry.

On 7 February 457, Leo I the Thracian became Eastern Roman
Emperor. After his death he became a saint. His feast day is on
20 January.

On 7 February 1831, the constitution of Belgium was adopted.
Belgium became a parliamentary monarchy. However in 1970
this constitution formed Belgium into a federal country.



On 7 February 1999, Abdullah II became King of Jordan.
He succeeded his father King Hussein of Jordan.



On 7 February 1688 Landgravine Marie of Hesse-Kassel was
born in Kassel. She married John William Friso, Prince of
Orange. She died on 9 April 1765 in Leeuwaarden in nowadays
the Netherlands.



On 7 February 1626, William V of Bavaria died at Schleisscheim
Palace near Munich, Bavaria, Germany. He was born as a son of
Albert V, Duke of Bavaria and Anna of Austria.
