Ties between the royal families of Belgium and The Netherlands

When Belgium became independent in 1830 from the United Kingdom of The Netherlands - after a revolution - a international compromise was made.  own picture from the Revolution painting Taking at the Fine Arts Museum in Brussels Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, widower of Princess Charlotte of Wales and uncle of Queen Victoria, became the first King of Belgium in 1831. Then, The Netherlands were still struggling with the independence of the Southern Part of their country. In 1894 King Willem III of The Netherlands and Queen Emma visited  Brussels. However During the rule of King Leopold II of Belgium, Queen Wilhelmina refused to visit her neighbors.  In March 1911 she visited Belgium. Enough attention was paid to the arrival of the Dutch Queen.  A driving tour through a short part of Brussels took place. There was a lot of interest on the side. Although Scheveningen is not especially my favourite beach resort in The Netherlands, I'd like to do a special mention of the Kurhaus. The Kurhaus of Scheveningen, The Hague in the Netherlands is a hotel which is called the Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus The Hague since October 2014. It is located in the main seaside resort area, near the beach. A beautiful History The Kurhaus was built between 1884 and 1885 by the German architects Johann Friedrich Henkenhaf and Friedrich Ebert. It consisted originally of a concert hall and a hotel with 120 rooms. Having suffered serious damage by fire, it was rebuilt between 1886 and 1887.  Interior The ceilings were painted by the Brussels artist Van Hoeck and his large workshop.  The history continued Until the mid 1960s, the Kurhaus remained a public attraction as a major concert hall, at which many top artists performed.  Ike & Tina Turner performed at the Kurhaus on February 11, 1971. 10 years King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands

On 30 April 2023, King Willem-Alexander will reign for 10 years in  The Netherlands.  👑👑👑 King Willem - Alexander picture made by Wills Vendrig Some important facts ✎ He already signed 24,000 signatures to laws and royal decrees, according to a report from the royal family.  👉The monarch had 1,200 visits, receptions and other activities on his agenda and made 26 state visits abroad. He didn't want to rule under the name Willem (William IV). Prisoner's Gate at The Hague The Netherlands

The Gevangenpoort (Prisoner's Gate) is a former gate and medieval prison on the Buitenhof in The Hague, Netherlands. It is situated next to the 18th-century art gallery founded by William V, Prince of Orange in 1774 known as the Prince William V Gallery. William V, Prince of Orange his son would become King William I of The Netherlands History From 1420 until 1828, the prison was used for housing people who had committed serious crimes while they awaited sentencing. Its most famous prisoner was Cornelis de Witt , who was held on the charge of plotting the murder of the stadtholder.  He was lynched together with his brother Johan on 20 August 1672 on the square in front of the building called groene zoodje after the grass mat used for the scaffold.  When public executions went out of fashion the area was used to build the "Witte Society", a literature club that still exists today, but had to move when the street was built in 1923. The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday, 19th September 2022 at 1100hrs BST. A Committal Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, will take place later the same day at 1600hrs.  Elements of the State Funeral Service and the associated ceremonial arrangements will pay tribute to The Queen’s extraordinary reign, and Her Majesty’s remarkable life of service as Head of State, Nation and Commonwealth On the morning of the State Funeral, the Lying-in-State will end at 0630hrs as the final members of the public are admitted. The State Funeral Service will be conducted by the Dean of Westminster . During the Service, the Prime Minister and the Secretary General of the Commonwealth will read Lessons. The Archbishop of York, the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and the Free Churches Moderator will say Prayers.
