Sluis A beautiful destination in Zeelandic Flanders The Netherlands

Sluis The Netherlands - own picture taken in 2018 In Zeelandic Flanders, one of the southern provinces of the Netherlands, a wonderful royal and historic destination is located. It is called Sluis. Although there are not much historic buildings left, Sluis certainly is worth to pay a visit. Some royal History In 1340 the Battle of Sluis was fought between King Edward III of England and King Philip VI of France during the Hundred Years' War. This ended in a victory for England. She arrived on 25 June 1468 in Sluis. Russia and especially its Royal history always have had an attraction to me. So, when I had the chance to read this e-book on Kobo Plus, I immediately was interested. A short history of Russia This book was written by Mary Platt Parmele and first published in 1898! Nevertheless 'A short history of Russia ' certainly is worth to read. It contained 26 chapters of around 5 pages each. The chapters are clarefully divided with interesting topics. Mary Platt Parmele (1843-1911) was an American historian and writer. She wrote lots of short histories. This book was her last writing work. About the book 'A short history of Russia' gave a quick idea about Russia's history and it started all at the very beginning. It even mentioned the Rurik dynasty. This dynasty often is missing in lots of history books. On 31 January 1938, a very noble girl was born at Soestdijk Palace in Baarn, the Netherlands. She received the names: Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard Family Princess Beatrix was the eldest daughter of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands (then Princess) and Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld. She belonged to the noble house of Orange-Nassau by birth. Through her father she was a member of the noble house of Lippe. Baptism Princess Beatrix was baptized in the Great Church of The Hague.
